I haven’t been out much with my camera lately. Well, not for me anyways.
I have been taking lots of pictures for work… The point and shoot kind. It is a lot fun to be able to do something I love as a part of my job. The problem is, there is a total lack of creativity.
The pictures for work need minimal editing. Maybe a crop and slight colour boost, but otherwise they are taken for functional reasons. Not to showcase my creativity.
I miss it SO much. The summer has been so busy. When I am not working, it seems I am wrapped up in the kids activites, visiting friends, and anything else that acts as an excuse to not pull the camera out.
Tonight though, I longed for everything creative. I searched all my archived images looking for one that spoke to me. If the truth is to be told, the original image did not resonate with me. I overlooked it back in May.
For some reason though, I saw it with new eyes tonight.
I love the final image. Dark and still colourful. Perhaps a little hopeful.
What are your thoughts on it?

I like the processing a lot. Subdued. It really does enhance the image.
