It doesn’t seem that long ago I brought my sweet baby boy home from the hospital, and today he turns 6!

He is smart and crazy, silly and curious, and he NEVER stops talking.  Really, NEVER…

Best of all, he is funny!

He has taught me that if you add “bat” to any word, you have a useful tool for Batman.  We have BAT pencils and BAT toothbrushes, BAT shoes and BAT cups just to mention a few.

He also taught me that learning to read is hard, and a real laughing matter if you aren’t to careful.  When sounding out the word POOL, the first the letters spell P-O-O…  And that causes days of silly laughter, as well as the inability to ever read the word POOL again with out giggling.

I am lucky too, because at 6 years old, he reminds me of how unfair life is.  He is not allowed to stay up all night, he has to have a shower one in a while, and some of the activities his older brother engages in are not appropriate for a 6 year old.  Still, life is sooooo unfair.
