Low Fidelity Friday

I have some super exciting news today!

It came!  It finally came!  All the way from Dublin, Ireland too!  That is about 5310 kms from here in Guelph, Ontario.

Isn’t she amazing?  A couple of weeks ago, I came across this article on the Holga Blog website.  The look of the camera was exciting, as were there resulting images.  It amazed me that this homemade camera was handmade.  I contacted article’s author, Analogue Paul, to see how I could get one of these cameras.

To my delight, he responded almost immediately, and agreed to make a camera for me.  It is constructed with paper and business cards, pencils and water bottle caps too.  I’m betting this camera would make Mister Maker green with envy!

I picked her up from the post office today, and I cannot wait to see what she can do!  Paul was kind enough to send along an expired roll of film too.  Now, it will just be a matter of figuring the shutter, winding, and exposure timing.  It should be a fun weekend!

A HUGE thank you goes out to Analogue Paul!

***Make sure you stay tuned!  Next week I should have some of my own results for all you to see!***
