Who knew that a Barrel of Monkeys could be so much fun? Owen brought the game to my Omi’s house on the weekend, and nothing but fun and silliness came from it.
They counted them, all 14 that we had, and then they strung them all together. When that got boring, all three of us played monkey toss. I missed the barrel every time.

When the monkeys ceased being fun, Owen pulled out the magnifying glass. These are some of my favorite shots.
Omi is 86 years old, and sometimes her age really takes a toll on her. Mostly though, I am truly inspired by her, and her spirit. She always finds joy in life, and reminds me to look for it too.
